Hours after late singer Whitney Houston was pronounced dead at a Bevelry Hills hotel, new reports claim prescription drugs were discovered and she may have likely drowned.

New reports claim Houston’s body was found in her hotel bathtub.

Police discovered “various pill bottles” in Houston’s room, TMZ reported, adding that family members said Houston had been taking the prescription drug Xanax, which is often used to treat anxiety. When combined with alcohol, Xanax can cause drowsiness. Houston was reportedly found in her bathtub — TMZ says her head was underwater — and could not be revived by paramedics after being removed from the tub. No alcohol was found in the preliminary sweep of Houston’s room, TMZ reports, but there were multiple reports that Houston had been drinking with friends the night before at the hotel. (Fox News)
R&B singer Ray J allegedly discovered Houston’s corpse Saturday night.

Whitney Houston was found dead at the Beverly Hilton Hotel this afternoon. According to CNN, it was Ray J who found her body. At this time, it is unknown if she overdosed or committed suicide. s that Ray J found Whitney dead Saturday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel,” tweeted Justin Lear. The news station also reported that Ray-J (famous for his sex tape with Kim Kardashian) and Whitney had been intimately dating and have been together for the past few days. Ray J has not tweeted anything about the death of Whitney Houston (which is understandable), who coincidentally died on his sister, Brandy’s, birthday. (Celebs Gather)
Yesterday reports suggested there was no criminal or foul play shown on her body.

Legendary pop singer Whitney Houston was found dead Saturday at a Beverly Hills, California, hotel, officials said. She was 48. The entertainer, whose incredible talent was discovered at an early age, was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. (6:55 p.m. ET) at the Beverly Hilton hotel despite resuscitation efforts, a police spokesman said. Beverly Hills Police Lt. Mark Rosen said there were “no obvious signs of criminal intent” and that the cause of her death is being investigated. Houston’s bodyguard found her body, said Courtney Barnes, publicist for hip-hop artist Ray J, who was dating the pop diva. (CNN)
The late singer’s publicist Kristen Foster broke the news Saturday, leaving fans in shock.

Backed by the Roots band, Nasty Nas wore a New York Giants fitted cap during his set.

Nas kicked off Super Bowl weekend with an appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” Repping his home team the New York Giants, the hip-hop icon teamed up with The Roots to perform “Nasty” on Thursday night’s show, which was broadcast from Indianapolis’ Hilbert Circle Theater. Not alone in his support of the Giants, Slaughterhouse’s Joell Ortiz recently weighed in on their chances of winning this weekend’s Super Bowl XLVI.

“The Giants embody New York,” Ortiz tells “They are the way New York runs. It’s hard nose, it may not be pretty, but the job gets done. And Victor Cruz is the perfect example that you ain’t gotta go to this big [college] to get noticed. You just have to work hard. He worked hard, he outworked people and he impressed people and he’s one of, if not the best wide receiver on the Giants. Eli Manning, it doesn’t look pretty. It’s not finess, it’s not like his brother [Peyton], the crispness [in the passes], but the job gets done. That’s what New York dudes do: we get it done. Everybody knows when New York is in town. The Giants embody New York to me, man — Honestly, as a fan of football, not just because I’m from New York, I honestly think they have a great shot of winning the Super Bowl because of that wining attitude.” (XXL Mag)
G-Unit’s 50 Cent recently predicted the Giants would pull out the win.

“I’m up 500,000 off the last one. f*ck it ill bet it back Ill put a 1,000,000 on my G MEN. STUNNER you got the # hit me if you want it.,” he tweeted.
“I know what he said fool RT @AbuArije: @BIRDMAN5STAR said 5 @50cent not 1 million”
“I just check the spread Hold up the M casino in vegas said patriots-3 I’m have to bet over there unless STUNNTER giving up points. Get at me” (50 Cent’s Twitter)
Outside of sports talk, renowned actor/film director Robert Townsend gave SOHH the scoop on his admiration toward Nas.

“I don’t know, I don’t know because I would say Nas. You know what? I’d say Nas,” Townsend told SOHH when asked what hip-hop artist is most underrated. “He’s really brilliant. I think it’s his creativity that stands out. Lyrically, he knows how to put it all together. There’s some lines and sometimes when I’m with my kids, we’ll listen to different things [like Nas’ music] and he’s just brilliant. I just think Nas is up there with the best. Right now Lil Wayne is at the top of his game but he’s up there with the best and he’s got a point of view. #ShoutOut: GO GIANTS!!
